Presenting Artists

A Philadelphia native, Allison received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Alfred University in New York and also studied at Moore College of Art & Design, the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and Chester Springs Studio in PA.  After traveling on Europe and living in Utah and New Orleans, Allison to the Fairmount neighborhood in 2007 and turned her focus to the neighborhood’s architectural vernacular, particularly its colorful doors, resulting in the “Doors of Fairmount” exhibition and poster.  Her current work, “Scenes from Fairmount,” presents sensuous miniatures of neighborhood landmarks, signs and architecture.

PCA’s “Seniors Celebrate the Arts” is a month-long, city-wide celebration showcasing the talent and creativity of older Philadelphians. It offers seniors the opportunity to experience the visual arts, music, drama, dance, poetry, crafts, fashion, and more by enjoying performances, classes, programs and workshops at senior centers, arts centers, and other city venues during May.
